Coleman Bluekatts' bats were strong against Miles on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough as Coleman fell 16-6. The Bluekatts are now 6-1 in District play and still in 1st place, according to Coach Cody LeCroy. Eldorado is in 2nd place and Miles is in 3rd. Keep working Katts! Coleman's softball game scheduled for Friday was cancelled, so the next game will be on Tuesday, April 6th with a double-header against Santa Anna Lady Mountaineers IN Coleman.   These girls are exciting to watch!  Come out and see a couple of great games on Tuesday! 

Coleman captured the lead in the first inning, and held on through the 2nd. Raelea Robinson tripled in the 1st, scoring Brylei Gilbreath. Then Robinson stole home while Haylee West was at bat.  

The 2nd inning score came after Audrey McKeehan walked, Brooklyn Gilbreath singled and Brylei Gilbreath singled, loading up the bases. Aislyn Cox singled, brining in McKeehan.

Miles took the lead for good in the top of the third inning. It was a big inning, with Miles scoring 9 runs. The final out took place when Shortstop Ipsha Bhakta caught a fly ball. 

Coleman came back to put up three runs in the fourth inning. Cox powered the inning with 2 RBIs on a triple and scored the 3rd run of the inning on a steal of home. Also stealing bases during the game were Brylei Gilbreath (2), Raelea Robinson and Mia Watson.

Cox took the loss for the Katts, going six innings, allowing 16 runs on 20 hits and striking out 5. She threw 127 pitches with 83 of them being strikes.

Coleman tallied 13 hits. Brylei Gilbreath, Cox, Brooklyn Gilbreath, and Raelea Robinson each collected multiple hits. Brylei Gilbreath went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead the Bluekatts in hits.
