Coleman played their final game of the Gorman Tournament this weekend in DeLeon, due to delays because of the weather and wet fields.  The Bluekatts won 4 of the 5 games they played over the three-day period. The Bluekatts played Jonesboro first on Thursday, falling 0-7. However, the Katts came back and buried Perrin-Whitt 17-0 in their second game that day.  On Friday, the Katts beat Santo 11-1 and then Millsap 12-11 in a hard fought battle.  Their final game was a win against De Leon 10-5.

In the Millsap game, the Bluekatts were down 4-11 going into the bottom of the 2nd inning. First up was Brylei Gilbreath, who hit a triple. Then, Micah Riggs singled scoring Gilbreath. Following Riggs was Lauren McKeehan who tripled, bringing Riggs across home plate. (6-11)

Riley Hartfield may have grounded out, but Norman Guerrero (courtesy runner for McKeehan) was able to come home for a run. (7-11)

Raelea Robinson hit a ground ball and reached 1st on an error, bringing Jaylie Steffey up to the plate. She was walked, but Robinson had managed to get to 3rd on a steal and a passed ball.

Ipsha Bhakta then reached 1st base on a dropped 3rd strike, filling the bases. While Abby Rush was at bat, Robinson scored on a passed ball. (8-11) Rush grounded out to the pitcher, but Steffey scored. (9-11) The Bluekatts had pulled to within 2 runs headed into the top of the 3rd.

The Katts kept Millsap from scoring in their next at bat to get a chance to go ahead in the bottom of the 3rd.

Gilbreath hit a fly ball and reached on an error, then Riggs singled. McKeehan doubled scoring Gilbreath (10-11). Hartfield was hit by a pitch, loading the bases.

While Robinson was at bat, Riggs scored on a passed ball (11-11). Then Robinson doubled on a ground ball to 3rd and Guerrero (courtesy runner) scored making the score 12-11, ending the game.

McKeehan got the win on the mound going three innings allowing 11 runs on eight hits with four walks and four strikeouts.

McKeehan got 3 hits and 3 RBI's to also lead the Bluekatts in hitting. Also getting multiple hits were Gilbreath, Riggs and Robinson, each with 2.

The Bluekatts then claimed a 10-5 victory on Saturday, despite a push by the DeLeon Lady Bearcats late in the game.

In the first at bat for the Katts, a walk of Gilbreath got her on base. Then while Riggs was at bat, Gilbreath stole 2nd and then 3rd.  Riggs singled on a bunt, so runners were on the corners with no out.

While McKeehan was at bat Gilbreath stole home to score, then Riggs scored when McKeehan hit a double. Hartfield hit a sacrifice grounder to advance McKeehan's courtesy runner Guerrero to 3rd base. Robinson grounded reaching on an error, but scored Guerrero for their third run of the inning. (3-1)

In the 2nd inning, Jaylie Steffey walked, and Carter Fritsch bunted and reached on an error. Steffey advanced to 3rd. When Fritsch advanced to 2nd, Steffey scored on the throw to get Fritsch out.

Coleman was ahead 4-1 going into the 3rd. The Bluekatts had a pretty good 3rd inning, too. Mia Watson, Bhakta, and Fritsch each had RBIs in the frame, going ahead 10-1. Dublin scored 1 in the 4th and 3 in the fifth but couldn't catch up, finishing the game Coleman 10 - Dublin 5.

Lauren McKeehan earned the victory on the rubber for the Bluekatts. The pitcher allowed eight hits and five runs over four and a third innings, striking out one and walking zero.

McKeehan also led the Bluekatts with two hits in three at bats. The Katts stole nine bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Brylei Gilbreath led the way with four. Mia Watson led in RBI's with three.
