The Coleman Bluekatts defeated the Ozona Lady Lions 13-3 on Saturday for the Bi-District Championship. The Katts won game 1 on Friday 15-8, so winning the second game ended the series. As the first batter up on Saturday, Brylei Gilbreath was walked, but was caught stealing second on a throw from catcher. Then Aislyn Cox singled on a line drive to left field, followed by a Raelie Robinson single to shortstop. Haylee West was walked, filling the bases. Mia Watson was then advanced with a Base on Balls, scoring Cox. (1-0) Ozona then got the next two batters out, leaving three stranded.

Cox got the first Ozona batter, Quiroz with a swinging strikeout. However she walked the next batter, Flores. Gonzales then bunted for an out to Watson at third, advancing Flores to second. Ozona's Oglesby then hit an inside the park Home Run on a fly ball to right field, also scoring Flores. (1-2 Ozona up) Ozona's third out came on a fly to left fielder Brylei Gilbreath, ending the first inning with the Lady Lions leading 2-1.

Pitcher Gonzales managed a strike out to start the top of the second, getting Morgan Riggs swinging. She then walked Brylei G. Brooklyn Gilbreath hit a fly to shortstop for out #2. A lot of baseball can happen with two outs, however. Cox was walked advancing Brylei G. to second. Then Raelie Robinson tripled to right field, scoring both Brylei G and Cox. (Coleman up 3-2) West then doubled bringing Robinson home from third (4-2) before the top of the second ended.

No scoring occured for either team in the 3rd, 4th and 5th innings. Good pitching and defense took the game into the top of the 6th... then the Bluekatts took over.

Coleman put up three runs in the 6th. Audrey McKeehan singled to get on first, then Morgan Riggs doubled on a bunt, advancing McKeehan to 3rd. Brylei G then doubled on a fly ball to right field, scoring McKeehan. Brooklyn G doubled on another bunt, scoring Riggs and Brylei. (7-2) Ozona was struggling with throws on the infield. The Lady Lions stopped the Katts with the next three batters, getting three quick outs. They managed to get one more run in the 6th, but that ended their scoring. (7-3)

Coleman put up six runs in the seventh inning. Bluekatt batters contributing to the big inning included Brylei Gilbreath, Aislyn Cox, Robinson, and Mia Watson, all knocking in runs in the inning. The rain had begun when Ozona's pitcher got to the mound, and she struggled with control, as she had during Friday's rain. Several Bluekatts were walked and Brylei G. was hit by a pitch on the inside of her right ankle, allowing runners to be advanced when Coleman connected with their bats.

Cox and her teammates held the Lady Lions scoreless in the bottom of the 7th inning taking the win 13-3. The Katts knew they were Bi-District Champions and celebrated the victory.

Cox led the Bluekatts to the win in the pitcher's circle. The righthander surrendered three runs on ten hits over seven innings, striking out five.

Coleman racked up 18 hits in the game. McKeehan, Robinson, Cox, Riggs, West, and Watson all had multiple hits for Coleman. Robinson and McKeehan each managed three hits to lead the Katts. Coleman also had 6 doubles and 1 triple during the game. The Bluekatts had one error for the day in fielding.
