Coleman 8 Forsan 5

The Coleman Bluecats took Forsan into extra innings to win Game 1 of the Area Championship series Saturday.  The Bluecats got three runs in the top of the 9th to go up 8-5 and that was the final score with a three up, three out final at-bat for Forsan. 

Haiden Hale hit a sacrifice bunt in the top of the 9th, scoring Jadin Jackson and Ryland Gentry, but Hale was safe on first on a throwing error.  Blaze Hronek then got a base hit past Forsan's shortstop, scoring Hale.  Coleman was up 8-5 when the top of the 9th was over.  

Ryland Gentry is credited with the victory, finishing the final 2 innings, allowing zero runs on one hit.  Jorge Salas started the game lasting 7 innings, allowing four hits and five runs while striking out nine.  (STATS ATTACHED)
