Coleman Bluecats stayed in it until the end, but Ballinger pulled away late in a 12-4 victory on Thursday. The game was tied at four with Ballinger batting in the bottom of the fifth when Busenlehner singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs, which was the start of a 9-run inning.
Coleman tallied three runs in the fourth inning and scored its runs on an RBI double by Caden Amos.
Roby Odom started the game for Coleman going four innings, allowing six runs on four hits and striking out three. Corbin Rosales took the loss for Coleman. He allowed three hits and five runs. Braxton Smith also pitched one inning, allowing one run on one hit and striking out 2.
Ryland Gentry, Gus Allen, Braxton Smith, and Amos each collected one hit to lead the Bluekatts. The Bluecats continues play in the Jim Ned Tournament playing Brady today.
