The Coleman Bluecats brought home a win from their first district game on Friday. The Cats beat Miles 61-57 in a game that was close all night, led by Junior Braxton Smith with 31 points. Smith made 5 of 8 three-pointers, 6 of 6 free throws, and made 5 of 10 from the two-point range.

The Bluecats were up after the first quarter by two points, but the game was tied at 32 going into halftime. Coleman came out after the half and outscored Miles 12 - 9 in the 3rd quarter, which turned out to be very important. Miles fought and stayed with Coleman in the 4th, but the Bluecats held strong and kept the lead, winning 61 - 57. 

Coach Lowman's Bluecats are 1-0 to begin district and are 10-10 overall for the season. The Cats will play IN Coleman on Tuesday against Colorado City, with JV scheduled to play after the JV girls at 5:15 and the Varsity boys will follow the Varsity girls, around 8:00pm.  Stats from Friday's JV and V games in Miles are attached and below:
