The base paths were crowded today for both offenses in a high-scoring game where Coleman Bluecats came out on top against Cisco Monday afternoon, 12-8. (This was in a scrimmage setting.)  The Bluecats opened up scoring in the first inning, when Corbin Rosales grounded out, scoring one run. Roby Odom had hit a single, and Braxton Smith was walked, moving Odom to 2nd. Rosales hit (and was out) and Odom scored, with Smith going to 3rd. (Coleman up 1-0)

Still in the 1st, Ryland Gentry doubled to right field and Smith scored (2-0 and 1 out). Following that Jorge Salas singled, advancing Gentry to 3rd. Denver Hunter then got a base on balls. Jody Traweek also walked, bringing in Gentry across home place. (3-0) Jacob Stewart singled on a ground ball to the pitcher and Rosales and Hunter scored on Cisco errors. (5-0)

Play continued in the 3rd with Jacob Hohmann and Jadin Jackson both getting on bases. After one strikeout, Adam Mason came up to bat. On a passed pitch to Mason, Traweek scored (6-0).  Mason eventually struck out, but 6 runs had crossed the plate and 12 batters had been at the plate. (This was a scrimmage setting.)

The Coleman bats tallied 12 runs off 12 hits, with 6 walks and 8 strikeouts, out of a total of 29 at bats.

Coach Riley Edwards tried out six pitchers during the scrimmage. There were 6 hits total by Cisco, 8 walks and 9 strikeouts.
