AUSTIN, July, 2020 – Scott Morelock, CEO of Santa Anna National Bank of Santa Anna, has been elected to the board of directors of the Texas Bankers Association. He will serve a three-year term.
Morelock has been practicing law since 1983. A licensed attorney, he has represented banks and credit unions for nearly 37 years. One of his original clients was the Santa Anna National Bank where he later served as the interim president and in 2006 accepted the position as CEO. In addition, he continues to maintain his law practice in Brownwood.
He is a past board member and president for the Brown County Museum of History and Brownwood Civic Improvement Foundation. Morelock enjoys all facets of the great outdoors and has served as a den leader and scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts of America in Brownwood and scoutmaster for the Texas Trails Council in the 2005 National Jamboree. He holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Angelo State University, a juris doctor from Texas Tech University Law School and also attended the Bank Operations Institute.
