AgriLife Texas A & M Extension

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in Coleman County will conduct a Private Pesticide Applicator Training on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 in the District Courtroom located on the second floor of the Coleman County Courthouse.  The training will start with registration at 8:00 a.m. followed by the program and conclude by 12:00 noon.

“This is not a continuing education of CEU training, “said Michael Palmer, AgriLife Extension agent in Coleman County. “This training is specifically for persons seeking a Texas Department of Agriculture private pesticide applicator license.”

Palmer said the license is required to purchase and apply restricted-use herbicides and pesticides.

“The Texas Department of Agriculture requires individuals to successfully complete this training before they can test for a private applicator pesticide license, which is also obtained through that agency,” Palmer said.

Information will be provided during the training on how and when to test once the training is complete.

Individual registration is $50 and is due by July 14th.  Participants need to purchase the study manuals in advance of the training.  RSVP and purchase study guides by July 14, 2022 by calling the AgriLife Extension office in Coleman County at 325-625-4519.  More information is also available at that number.
