As of 6:00 pm Thursday, electricity was restored to a large portion of Coleman County, including the City of Coleman. There may still be some areas without electricity but police units patrolling the city reported the lights back on. Law enforcement units also report bridges beginning to ice over, including the large bridge over the railroad between Coleman and Santa Anna and the bridge by the Coleman City Park. Sleet and some snow was increasing across Coleman County as of 6:00 pm. Snow accumulation is expected overnight, on top of the substantial ice that already exists. A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect. Temperatures are forecast to remain 30-32 overnight, warming back above freezing between 9 and Noon Friday morning. Travel is discouraged through mid-morning Friday.
