Once again, Texas Farm Bureau’s “Ag Day” 2021 was a big success! Thanks to so many area people, the county third grade students got an opportunity for some hands-on agriculture education. All county schools brought students to listen to speakers and have opportunity to learn in small groups for several different agricultural encounters. Big farm machinery, equine care and shoeing, sheep & goats, poultry, longhorn cattle & bovine science, a mobile dairy operation, beef and important by products, Farm Bureau’s mobile ag life center, grain commodities, and TX Game and Fish were among the displays. Sharing knowledge is good for the soul and promotes a sense of pride in the community for everyone. The Farm Bureau board kindly served a delicious hamburger meal to everyone after a morning full of learning. A big thank you to Texas Farm Bureau, Circle C Cattlewomen, and the many volunteers that it takes to provide such an nice event for the community students.
