The Coleman City Council, on Wednesday night, August 7, received and accepted a comprehensive assessment report on the City of Coleman Police Department. The report is on the Local News page of this site and can be ready by clicking HERE. Some of the recommendations listed as immediate priority (dispatch and recruiting and retention pay of officers) have already been addressed by city management and police chief.
In addition, the law firm that presented the assessment also recommended a city charter amendment election next May to address outdated city code that conflicts with the charter.
Attached to this story is the audio presentation the City Council heard as delivered by T. Daniel Santee, a Partner with Denton Navarro Rocha Bernal & Zech law firm of San Antonio.
