Coleman High School Class of 2020

Gage Ross Sikes is the son of Bill and Brittany Sikes.

While attending Coleman High School Gage has been an active member in Student Council, National Honor Society, where he holds the Secretary position for both, Spanish Club, Prom Committee, Supportive Peers, Teacher’s Aid and is a Class Officer. He has also been involved in One Act Play and performed in a couple of school plays. He has been in UIL for 2 years where he participated in Headline Writing and Current Events, where he and his team received 1st place in District and were Regional Qualifiers. Some of Gage’s accomplishments while in high school are all-year A and AB Honor Roll, High Point Boy his junior year, Creative Communications Award his freshman year for a poem he wrote and was published. He was named September Rotary Boy and voted as Homecoming King his senior year. He has also been an active member of the Jr Chamber for the past 4 years where he has been involved in many activities for the community. Gage played football for 4 years where he was awarded Honorable Mention Defensive End his junior year, and 2nd team All- District Offense his senior year. He was also in Powerlifting for 3 years where he received the Bluecat Pride Award. He ran track for 2 years running the 400m, 4x2 Relay and 4x4 Relay as well as playing basketball his freshman year. Gage has been employed by Coleman ISD for the past 2 summers as well as his own Lawn Service.

In the fall Gage will be attending Texas Tech University where he will be pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing with a minor in Nutrition. His goal after working two years in a critical care setting is to apply into the Nurse Anesthetist program to works towards becoming a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist.
